TFP Gathering
The Flâneurs Project Gathering is an annual event held in different places around the world. We come together as a small group (5-8 people max) to explore a place over the course of a weekend. Some years, we also include writing sessions.
2024: The Hague
In 2024, we met in The Hague, the city where I currently live. The weekend began with a salon and dinner at my home, where we discussed the changes we've gone through as we moved across different countries—each of us having lived in several throughout our lives. Over the weekend, we explored the city both individually and in groups, always coming back together around a table to share what we had discovered. You can read more about the 2024 gathering in this essay:
2025: A City in Transylvania (likely Cluj-Napoca)
In 2025, we will gather in a city in Transylvania, Romania. This year, in addition to walking and talking, we will be writing, so you can expect a few sessions focused on that. More updates will be shared at the end of October with paid subscribers and founding members.
Note 01: Since I aim to keep the group small and there is demand to join, I am only sharing updates about this gathering with friends, paid subscribers, and founding members.
Note 02: The gathering (including writing sessions, salons, guided walks, and a welcome dinner) is free of charge. However, you’ll be responsible for your own flights, transport, accommodation, and food the rest of the days. As your host, I'll provide a curated list of accommodations you can book based on your budget. I’ll also host a free welcome dinner on the first day, and lead some of the walks and writing sessions.
Why am I doing this?
I want to meet fellow travelers who take pleasure in paying close attention to the world around them. I love good conversations and the joy of returning to a yearly ritual purely for the pleasure of it.
Is this sort of gathering for you?
If you enjoy traveling solo but also want companions for walking and conversation, this gathering might be for you. We typically meet over a weekend—Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday morning. There will be plenty of opportunities for solo walks to discover the city at your own pace, as well as group salons and dinners where you can connect with fellow travelers and me, the host.
If you have any questions or just want to say “hi,” feel free to book a call with me here.
